I started Toothily because I couldn't un-read the research.

My name is Anthony. A few years ago I fell down a rabbit hole on microplastics - specifically what happens when you brush your teeth with a conventional plastic toothbrush twice a day for your entire life. The short answer: you ingest them. They've been found in human blood, lungs, and tissue. And every plastic brush you've ever owned is still sitting in a landfill right now.

Bamboo was the obvious alternative. But I wanted Toothily to be more than just "less harmful." I'd been writing a single affirmation on a sticky note each morning and putting it on my bathroom mirror. It sounds small - until you realize that the two minutes you spend brushing your teeth are some of the only undistracted, phone-free moments in your entire day. That mirror is one of the most psychologically potent places in your life.

So I asked: what if the affirmation was already there, engraved into the thing you pick up before you do anything else? That's Toothily. A toothbrush that works on your mind while it works on your mouth.
