The brush
What arrives in the box?
Bamboo toothbrushes, each laser-engraved with its own surprise message from the brush you picked, Mindset or Faith. Every brush you receive carries a different line, so no two mornings start the same way.
What is the toothbrush made of?
A Moso bamboo handle with soft bristles, laser-engraved rather than printed, so the message is part of the brush.
What are the bristles made from?
Soft DuPont nylon bristles on a Moso bamboo handle. We name the material plainly because plenty of bamboo brushes are vague about their bristles: nylon is what reliably cleans teeth, and we would rather tell you exactly what it is than imply something it is not.
Are Toothily brushes suitable for sensitive teeth and gums?
Toothily toothbrushes use soft bristles. If you have sensitive teeth, gum disease, recent dental work, or any other oral-health concern, check with your dentist about what is right for you.
Engraved messages
Can I choose the exact message engraved on my brush?
No, and that is on purpose. You choose the brush, Mindset or Faith, and we choose the line. The line on each brush is a surprise, like a fortune cookie with better aim. Sometimes the message you need is not the one you would have picked for yourself.
How are the messages chosen?
The library started as thousands of candidate lines and survived round after round of cuts, then a review with clinical psychologists to make sure each line fits the way you will actually meet it: half awake, at a mirror. The survivors are grouped into two brushes, Mindset and Faith. If one line does not land for you, the next brush brings a fresh one.
Subscriptions and delivery
What is the difference between a subscription and a one-time purchase?
A one-time purchase is charged once. A subscription renews at the price and schedule shown when you select your plan, saves you money on every order, and keeps fresh brushes and fresh lines coming without you thinking about it. You stay in control from your account.
How often does a subscription ship?
You pick the delivery schedule when you subscribe, and the current options and savings are shown on the product page and at checkout. A fresh brush arrives right around when dentists recommend replacing your old one anyway.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Sign in to your Toothily account and open subscription management. From there you can change delivery frequency, update your address or payment, skip a shipment, pause, or cancel. No phone calls, no hoops.
Is shipping free?
No. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your address. We would rather show you the honest number than hide it in the price.
Where do you ship?
We ship to the United States and Canada. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on your address.
Care and replacement
How should I care for my bamboo toothbrush?
Rinse well after each use, shake off the water, and store it upright somewhere it can dry. Bamboo is happiest out of standing water. Replace every 3 to 4 months, or sooner if the bristles look worn.
Why does my handle look different from my last one?
Because it grew that way. Bamboo has natural variation in grain, color, and texture, so every handle is genuinely one of a kind, and the engraving can sit a little differently on each. That is the material doing its thing, not a defect.
How do I dispose of my Toothily toothbrush?
The bamboo handle can go to compost or green waste wherever your local facilities accept bamboo. Check your local rules for anything they do not take.
Our giving
Where does the 10% actually go?
If you bought through a partner church, school, club or nonprofit's link or code, it goes to that organization's own fund. Every other order goes to the organizations we support: oral health access, healthcare innovation, classroom supplies and tuition, crisis and suicide prevention, veterans, and our home community in Tampa Bay.
What is the 10% calculated on?
Product revenue. Shipping and tax are not included. And it comes off revenue, not profit, so it happens whether we have a good year or not.
Can my church, school or team raise money with this?
Yes. You share a trackable link or code, and 10% of every order placed through it goes to your fund instead of the organizations we support. There is no inventory to buy, nothing to sell door to door, and it keeps earning on every renewal rather than stopping when a campaign ends. See our fundraising page to start a conversation.
Orders and support
What is the Keep the Brush Guarantee?
Not happy with your order? Email us within 30 days of delivery and we will refund it in full. Do not mail anything back. Keep the brushes, or pass them along to someone who will use them. Available once per customer.
What if my order arrives damaged or defective?
Email us your order number and a photo of the issue and we will make it right with a replacement or refund. Damage in transit is on us, not you.
Can I send Toothily as a gift?
Yes. Place a one-time order and enter the recipient's shipping address at checkout. A dedicated subscription-gifting option is not offered yet.
How do I contact support?
Use the contact page or email contact@shoptoothily.com. Every message is read by a real person on the Toothily team, and we typically reply within 2 business days.
Fundraising
How does the fundraising program work?
You share a trackable link or code with your community. 10% of every order placed through it goes to your fund instead of the organizations we support. There is nothing to buy and nothing to sell.
How much does my organization earn?
10% of product revenue on every order placed through your link, on the first order and on every renewal after it. Shipping and tax are excluded.
Do we have to buy any inventory?
No. Nothing to order, store or sell door to door. If you would rather buy stock and resell it at your own price, that is a wholesale order instead and you keep the full retail margin.
Is there a minimum before we get paid?
Fifty dollars. Anything under that rolls into next year. If the partnership ever ends, whatever has accrued is paid out regardless.
When do we get paid?
Once a year, with a statement showing where it came from.
What kinds of organizations can join?
Churches and faith communities, schools and universities, hospitals and research centers, hotels and hospitality groups, clubs and nonprofits. See the program.
Wholesale and retail
What is the wholesale minimum?
12 toothbrushes.
How do I get wholesale pricing?
Request an order through the wholesale portal and we will send pricing and terms. Opening orders are prepaid, with Net 30 available to approved accounts.
Can I get custom engraving with my own logo or message?
Yes. Custom engraving is available on larger orders, with a minimum of 100 retail 2-packs, which is 200 individual toothbrushes. A proof is sent and approved before production begins.
Do wholesale orders generate a donation?
No. The 10% applies to orders placed with us. When you buy wholesale you keep the full margin on resale instead, which is worth considerably more to you than the donation would be.
Affiliates and creators
What do affiliates earn?
15% of every order placed through your link, on the first order and on every renewal after it.
Who can become an affiliate?
Creators, dentists, hygienists and anyone whose audience takes their recommendation seriously. See the program.
How is tracking handled?
Through UpPromote, with a 30-day tracking window, real-time analytics and clear attribution, so you always know what you earned and why.
When do affiliates get paid?
Monthly, by PayPal or bank transfer.
What is the difference between the affiliate program and fundraising?
Same mechanic, different destination. Affiliate commission is income paid to you and is taxable. Fundraising sends the money to your organization's fund as a donation. Nonprofits usually want the second one.
